Pedia at 9 3/4 months
Eulla at Dr. Farrohi's clinic with Dada
Eulla's appoinment was at 2:30pm with her pediatrician. We waited for Eumir to get home at 1pm then we left at 1:50pm.
Here are Eulla's statistics for the month of August:
Head : 17 3/4"
Weight: 19 lbs 12 oz
length 27 3/4"
I usually try to weigh and measure her myself. I was off a few oz and quarter of an inch with her height :) Eulla was not as good as she usually is with her doctor's appointment. First of all, she was cranky because I had to wake her us from her sleep. Next is she's teething. She was so clingy but not with me! She would rather be with her Dada the whole time. Her pedia said that we should try giving her 1.2 tylenol every 4 hours and we should call if she's still like that till Tuesday. Other than that, she is a healthy baby. After her well baby check up, we had to go to the lab because they needed to draw blood from her and get a urine sample.
At the LAB...
She finally came to me after

The most exciting part of the day is when I saw FedEx guy outside! It's here...its what I've been waiting for. Eulla's new Pliko Lite stroller. Eumir and I have been wanting this stroller for awhile now. Its a bit pricey but I hope that it will be worth it. I hope that Eulla will use it till she's 3 or 4 and then the next baby :) According to the consumers report, it is one of the TOP 10 strollers. Best of all, its made in Italy.

Hay, what a tiring weekend! Poor Eumir drove home with Eulla and me at the back seat asleep. By the time we got to Pasadena, that was the only time I woke up. The drive home only took us 2 1/2 hours while the drive going there took us 3 1/2 hours. Next time we go back there to San Diego, we will not take the 5! Too many unpredictable traffic. Eulla was really good on the way home. She only woke up when we were home. I am assuming that she was really comfortable on her new car seat. Even I liked it for her. She fit perfectly on it even on sharp turns. Her head didn't slump forward nor side when she was asleep. I gotta admit, it was worth buying it.
We stayed with Eumir's relatives and Eulla finally wasn't too clingy. She actually went to her lolos and lolas there as well as her aunts and uncle. She really likes seeing other kids like her.
Eulla had her first taste of ice cream. Ninang Jhelen & Lolo Kiko gave Eulla a few bites.
Jun-Jun and Eulla at the Iba, Zambales Fiesta (Celebrated at San Diego)
We must have gone to all the Navy Exchange and Marine Exchange at San Diego to shop with NO TAX!
Eulla has been blabing a lot. Before I thought that she said HELLO and I told Mom and Dad. Finally, its finalized...she has been saying HELLO. They heard her and she's consistent now, she says HELLO on the phone when Ate, Mom or Dad calls. It sounds like "elo" more than hello but it's definitely her first real word (aside from Dadada or Papapa or ateh or wow). Maybe she'll take after me and start talking early as well as walking. I was talking and walking before I was 1 year

Eulla's new toy
I think Eulla is bored with her old toys or she's outgrown it. I decided not to wait for Eumir to assemble one of the toys that Eulla got for her baptism. We really didn't want to open it up all at once. That's another toy to take up the space in the house. Hay...so many toys and gadgets. As soon as she woke up from her morning nap, I had her try it out. She liked it but no as much till she finds out that she can walk with it. I put the brakes on when she was playing with it.
For lunch, Eulla had some fetuccini. I only had her eat the noodles and a little bit of the ham. As usual, she liked it. She ate most of what I put in her plate.

I have so many different pictures in my camera that I will jump from one topic to another. These are pictures taken on different dates.
Lets eat some crazy bread! (She enjoyed eating the bread so much that she actually finished the long stick she's holding at the 1st upper picture)
Did I ever write about Eulla loving to brush her teeth? Well, she loves to brush her teeth so much that I cannot take away her toothbrush from her for at least 30 minutes after brushing her teeth for her. She insist that she brushes her teeth herself.
Here is Dada and Eulla brushing their teeth last night.
To the right, to the left, up and down Dada...look at how I do it!
Smile for the cam!
My new Britax Roundabout convertible carseat came via UPS today...yepee!
The day we were so busy with the room addition, Eulla was so tired from watching the workers.
Isn't she adorable when asleep!?!

Something's wrong with uploading the pictures. I had to upload it with Picasa but these pictures are supposed to go with the room addition blog :)

Daddy Pogi and Eulla outside inspecting the room addition. I think Eulla will be an engineer hehehe. She loved looking at what was being built (like mama and dada?)

Hayyyy...Monday morning, they started the pounding and breaking of the walls of the house. Mom and Dad decided to add another room to the house. It all started Saturday afternoon. Eulla and I woke up from the pounding of the walls. Music to our ears hehehe :)
Yesterday, we went to the mall and Babies r us to get Eulla's stuff for our San Diego trip this coming weekend and the Hawaiian Day at Malibu beach next month. I finally ordered Eulla's Britax onyx roundabout (convertible car seat) from the internet. It should arrive tomorrow. I also ordered her umbrella stroller in the internet because Babies r us did not have the color we wanted plus all the Peg Perego Pliko Lite was out of stock because it is imported from Italy. I am so excited! We chose from the maclaren to the pliko lite. Eumir and I liked the pliko lite more and looks like Eulla was more comfortable in the Pliko than the Maclaren. Although, the Maclaren was rated #1 with the consumer's report. I guess it was more of comfort for Eulla for us and the easy access of folding and opening it up. I can't wait till it gets here. Hope it is here by our San Diego trip. It said in my email that it should be here in 10 days.

A sneak peak

One, tooth, teeth, another tooth!
Eulla has been crying three straight nights now and I thought that she was just tired from all the partying we've been doing but she was actually teething again! If you look closer to the upper left picture you can see to the right that it is out and to the left side, her gums are bulging out as well. Maybe by the end of the month, she'll have 4 upper and lower teeth :)
Here is Eulla attempting to look at me upside down. She's been doing that a lot lately. She likes seeing everything upside down.

After monday, I started to feel really sick. I have a cold and a soar throat. To add to that, I got my monthly visitor early and had really bad cramps. I guess after all the preparations, it finally caught up to me. Eumir ended up going home early from work to take care of Eulla and me. All I did yesterday was sleep, eat and watch the avatar with Eumir and Eulla (DVD's that Eumir bought). Today, I am finally starting to feel better and I am starting to finish up unwrapping all of Eulla's gifts. I also got started on the thank you cards. I hope to send it out by this afternoon.
Eulla is also trying to catch up with her nap. She has been so tired from her baptism :)

The baptism was a SUCCESS! It was such a lovely party. Thank you so much for everyone's help. Thank you to the GODPARENTS of Eulla. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU TO EVERYONE.
As soon as the photographer sends out the pictures, I will post them. I didn't even get to take a single picture from my cam, I was so busy enjoying!

Wow! 9 Months...it went by fast. Eulla has reached many milestones and its pretty exciting. She can do so many things now and sometimes it get tiring but FUN!
Eulla can now express herself by talking. She says ta..ta..ta when she wants to be noticed or when she wants something. She likes to make conversation by saying dadada or papapa or teh. She associates the song "shake that thing" to her milk. When she hears me or Eumir sing that song to her, she knows that her bottle is coming so she doesn't cry for it anymore. She talks back to the TV when she likes what's on. She LOVES the backyardigan! She can watch her DVD over and over again. She loves Euniqua the best out of all the backyardigans. Maybe because its close to her name and she loves to sing. Basically that all the talking she does. Gives you an idea how talkative she is.
She knows how to say bye with her hands when I raise it up but she sometimes confuses it with "arimunding". She enjoys standing and pulling herself up. She likes to listen to music and claps her hands all the time. She likes to kick her left foot up when she gets really happy or excited. She would rather stand than be carried right now. She enjoys her freedom to crawl - its actually scooting her belly is always in the way :)
She has a security bib. It's a white bib that you can only buy in the Philippines. She can tell the difference between her white bib from other white cloth. She can not sleep with out it. She LOVES to suck her thumb. She gets really excited when I say her Dada is coming. She always SMILE. She hardly cries...only when she's hungry or bored. In short, Eulla is a very happy baby.
We have been blessed with a baby like Eulla. She is our little princess. In 4 days she will be baptized. We hope to see all of you!
And now, since she has 4 upper teeth and 2 teeth at the bottom, I decided to change her rubber toothbrush to the oral B for 4 months to 24 months toothbrush.
Here are some clips with her trying to brush her teeth while watching the backyardigans and then, I finally brushed her teeth for her to finish up.
For people who doesn't know Euniqua, here she is sitting beside Eulla. She is the pink...I really dont know what aminal she is :)

Eulla has been pulling herself up to a standing position. She would rather stand than sit or be carried. Today, guess who I caught trying to do the balancing act...EULLA! She tried to let go of her baby einstein bouncer for a couple of seconds and then back to holding it. She did it several times. She has been using her bouncer not from the inside but from the outer part of it. She doesn't like to stay inside it anymore but she can play outside it for an hour (that's the longest I've left her there while I was in the computer finishing up her slideshow).

A day of relaxation
We went to Eumir's co-worker/friend's house to meet up with all of his Filipino co-workers. They all planned a get together to just relax, eat and swim. Eulla was able to put on her swimsuit again! We were waiting till the sun was down because it was so hot but I guess we waited too late because after 5 minutes in the pool, Eulla's lips were shaking. I took her out ASAP and gave her a warm bath and we left Dada in the pool with his friends.
Look at my new ride :)

Jolibee opened near our place at Panorama City Saturday. Eumir and I decided to go there at around 6:30pm. When we got there, there was no parking space near Jolibee and cars were stalled around the area. Eumir dropped me off and parked at the other side of the "Filipino town" in the valley. When I got there, there were 5 lines with at least 10 people in line ordering ranging from $60-$100. Geesh, the place was packed full of Filipinos raving about how good the chicken was. After waiting 30-40 minutes of service, I got our order. I was so hungry that I asked Eumir if we can eat one each before we drive home. All I can remember is hmmmmm GOOD!
Eulla had her first taste of Filipino chicken. She had some in the car and when we got home, mom gave her some more. For lunch, we had some left over spaghetti, I gave some to Eulla. She's used to eating spaghetti.

A new month
What a way to start August. While Eulla was in her playpen this morning, I saw her sit on her own. She came from a laying position then I just saw her sitting up attempting to stand. I was so happy. Wonder what's next :)
Tita Amelia...just updated it for you! I couldn't get Eulla to smile because she's sleepy already. Here's your new screensaver :)
Lets call Dada...
Hello DADA...can we go out and play?
