Gosh, it has been a while since I've felt an earthquake. There was just one about an hour ago.
As I was trying to figure out if it was an earthquake or just a truck passing by the road Eulla asked me "Mama, what dat?". So then I figured SHOOT, it is an earthquake! I immediately grabbed my purse and carried Eulla. We hurriedly ran outside the condo. We saw lots of people outside waiting for the earthquake to stop. Finally after about 20 seconds, it stopped. I then called Eumir on my cellphone to see if everything was fine on his side of the town. It took a while to be connected. I guess everyone was trying to call their family as well.
So after speaking to Eumir
, he informed me that it was a 5.8 magnitude
. The epicenter was at Chino Hills. A couple more aftershock followed with a 3.8 magnitude. I felt like it was more than that. I have such a bad phobia on earthquakes after the 1994 Northridge earthquake
happened. It was so scary! I am just glad nothing bad happened.

I am now 16 weeks and 3 days pregnant. We went to my Ob-gyn doctor today. We were there by 10:15am. I gained 2lbs from my last visit. Eumir and Eulla listened to the baby's heartbeat while Dr. Reyes checked me. The baby sounds good and healthy she informed us. Eulla was happy to hear the baby's heartbeat. She was smiling as she listened to it.
(At the clinic - Room 2)
Dr. Reyes decided to change my prenatals from Premisis Rx to CitraNatal DHA now that I am feeling much better. The Premesis Rx prenatals was prescribed for me because of my severe morning sickness. Now that the morning sickness has subside, starting July 31, I will be taking my new formula CitraNatal DHA prenatal vitamins.
Today, I also was scheduled for my AFP test. We went to the Unilab building just across Northridge Hospital to get my blood drawn. As usual, I was terrified. I am super scared of needles plus it is always hard to find a vein from me that wont collapse. I always ask for their best plhebotomist because I bruise easily and faint. This way, I don't have to put up with 2 to 3 trials till they get it. Eumir and Eulla came with me inside just in case. When the phlebotomist (Maggie) saw my veins she told me that she's gonna need a smaller butterfly. I was relieved! She had to take 7 vials of blood from me. Half way through the blood draw, my love asked me if I was okay and Eulla followed by asking "are you okies mama?" over and over again.

After the successful blood draw, we decided to eat at California Pizza Kitchen for lunch. I was so hungry and I was ready for a heavy lunch.

It was our 5th wedding anniversary June 28. Eumir & I both had planned so many things for this day two months ahead but since I was still in my 1st trimester, it was too hard to even plan to do something out of town. We just ended up eating out with Eulla and towards the night, we left Eulla with my parents and watched a movie.
To make up for this occasion, we both agreed on just buying something for the both of us. We ended up getting a pool table which came with a ping pong table topper. We do not have room for this in our place but since my parents had a sun room, we asked if we can keep it there till we're able to get our own place that fits the table.
Friday afternoon, we went to Sports Authority to get Eumir's cue stick and some accessories for the pool table. We were there for a while. I didn't say a peep to my love because when I am at the mall, he waits patiently with Eulla. So this time, it was his turn.
